Purchasing green power further bolsters our sustainability efforts, while also sending a clear message

Purchase Of RECs To Benefit Florida Community
Original Impressions purchased more than 1.6 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of biogas-derived
renewable energy certificates (RECs),
which supplies 100 percent of the Company's electricity use. Bought through Native Energy, the RECs
are sourced from the Orange County Landfill,
which is the largest publicly-owned and operated landfill in Florida. In 1998, the Orange County Utilities Solid Waste Division
began harnessing the methane emitted from a 250-acre area of the landfill and sending it to OUC's Stanton Energy Center
to be used as a fuel to generate electricity.
Using landfill gas as a fuel helps Original Impressions achieve our environmental goals but, more importantly, helps
our local community benefit from improved air quality and reduces the potential for landfill gas migration and explosions
of hazardous materials and odors.
According to EPA, OI's green power purchase of more than 1.6 million kWh is equivalent to avoiding the carbon
dioxide (CO2) emissions of more than 200 passenger vehicles per year, or is the equivalent amount of electricity
needed to power nearly 200 average American homes annually.

We are Triple Certified by the three globally-recognized agencies: Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) (BV-COC-080207),
the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) (BV-SFICOC-US08000129) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest
Certification (PEFC) (BVC-PEFCCOC-US 08000130), which means we are part of the Environmental Chain of Custody that
ensures our papers, processes and practices meet strict environmental and socio-economic standards.
